The jersey isn't do for an official unveiling until November 15, 2008 against the lowly Leafs on CBC. That by the way is a 4pm local start, even though the game is at home. Thank you for you consideration you CBC bastards. Fuck Toronto!
Now that I got that off my chest lets get back to business here. The internet is abuzz as a leaked image of the 3rd jersey has begun to surface. Personally, I love the jersey it is absolutely sharp. However, many in the office wanted the Johnny Canuck logo to be on the front. They make a valid point as that would look equally sharp.
Regardless, it is better than the breaching whale. This in my opinion is the best Canucks jersey thus far. I can't wait to get mine as soon as it hits the shelves, credit crisis or not!
With the three jersey's the Canucks now have I believe it is time that we do not tinker with them anymore. All the jersey's are excellent and we should stick with them. I mean for fuck sakes, we change our jersey's more than Janet Jackson changes wardrobes during a concert.
Remember this is an unofficial leak on the internet as the Canucks have not made any sort of announcement with respect to their 3rd jersey other than when they will debut.

It's okay. I would have preferred if the Johnny Canuck logo was on the front. Oh well. I won't buy any more jersey's until they lower ticket prices!

I'm with VancityAllie - I thought I had seen this design before.
My fav is still the Ottawa Senators profile-jersey they started using when they brought the team back to the city in the early '90s. Sorry, it's what I grew up with ... nostalgia.
Tania and Allie, I agree with your points. I too wanted the Johnny Canuck logo on the front. However, the Canucks took the safe road this time and did not tinker with the design too much. Can you blame them? We have seen hideous jersey's in our teams history, but right now is the best of the bunch and I believe we should not change the logo or colors any more. Lets start to build a winning team and the jersey's will look that much better.
My favourite jersey is the Philadelphia Flyers.

I think it's kinda sad that NHL teams are constantly re-jigging their jerseys ... I mean, let's just call it what it is - extortion! Okay, I'm exagerating ... but it is a clear attempt to get fans to shell out more cash. You know, because tickets aren't already expensive enough. ;P
Agreed Tania, Although it isn't exactly extortion its a quick way to make a buck of the die hard fans. A cash grab plain and simple. I mean how many jersey's have the Canucks gone through since 2000!
I think it looks good. i also like it because of the fact that i own their old retro jersey! i think JC woulda looked good on the front of thier jersey but this looks good too.
